HSBC will operate as the Custodian and is an authorised depository under the rules of the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA). The Custodian’s responsiblities include:
• insurance and storage (legal custody) of the gold bullion in London;
• validating the fineness and weight of the gold bullion; and
